Weistec Engineering 722.9 Bulletproof V2 Transmission is the go-to upgrade for the 7 speed transmissions used in AMG models. Every transmission is carefully disassembled and inspected to insure there is no fatigue to the casing or other vital components. Once accepted, the internal hard parts undergo a few machine processes to allow for better temperature distribution and increased clutch capacity. We then cryogenically harden all gears, clutch pack housings, input shaft, and output shaft.
The transmission is then reassembled using our upgraded clutch packs. All clutches now feature the new and improved Weistec Performance Clutch Material which was developed over two years of rigorous street and track testing with high power Weistec vehicles. The new clutch material has a much higher coefficient of friction as well as better resistance to heat compared to the previous clutch material.
All new OEM gaskets, seals, filter, and hardware are used during assembly. The Weistec Bullet Proof 722.9 is also outfitted with our upgraded Valve Body and TCU to ensure proper line pressure and superior shift quality. The result is a built transmission capable of handling power levels in excess of 1000lbft of torque while maintaining the drivability of a stock transmission.
Note: Weistec Engineering thoroughly inspects the entire transmission upon arrival. During the build process it is important to understand that wear and tear items (such as clutches, seals, and gaskets) are replaced. Parts such as input shafts, output shafts, casing, etc. are not replaced in the build process. If there is damage to these parts a representative will notify the customer. Extra costs can be incurred if this is the case. Typical lead time is 3-4 weeks from recipt of the core transmission.
Factory Mercedes transmission fluid required (filled per Mercedes Specified Procedure) upon installation. Re-adapting the transmission after installation is required to ensure proper operation.
