Weistec Limited Warranty
1. Warranty on Weistec-Branded Products
12 month Weistec Limited Warranty. Valid 12 months from sales date with valid registration.
The following exclusions apply to all Weistec Limited Warranties.
Weistec's limited warranties do not cover any of the following damages or items:
- Damages to and/or failure of any non-Weistec component or equipment on a vehicle including, but not limited to, the engine, electrical system, transmission and differentials.
- Damage caused by “Acts of God”, normal wear and tear, or damage to a vehicle or engine caused by, tuning by others, collision and/or engine failure.
- Any costs incurred for towing or downtime of the vehicle.
- Any rental vehicle costs
- Any labor costs to diagnose problems or to remove or replace the Weistec products; or any damage caused by the use of another company’s product.
- Any shipping costs.
The following non-Weistec occurrences, uses, and modifications are considered misuse of Weistec-branded products and invalidate all Weistec warranties:
- Any disassembly or attempted disassembly of a turbocharger, supercharger, compressor, gear case, engine, transmission or other Weistec components.
- Damage to Turbocharger/Supercharger/Engine resulting from ingestion of debris.
- Improper turbocharger/supercharger/engine/transmission or other component installation including installation by unqualified or unapproved installers.
- Improper drive pulley/belt combination on a supercharger.
- Excess belt tension on the supercharger belt drive.
- Over spinning a supercharger.
- Restricted or blocked turbocharger/supercharger air intake resulting in excessive negative pressure at the air inlet.
- Damage due to improper supercharger sizing and compressor surge, or by tuning.
- Free revving of the engine with the belt driving the supercharger in place.
- Improper installation, adjustment or lack of a bypass valve.
- Lack of oil supply to the turbocharger/supercharger.
- Supercharger gear case fluid overfill.
- Subjecting any Weistec product to a “cold start-up” condition (below 25° F) without the use of an engine block heater/aftermarket engine blanket.
- Not using anti-freeze in engine cooling and intercooling systems
- Improper supercharger fluid change interval.
- Improper maintenance.
- Improper cooling and/or fluid levels
- Use of fuel with lower octane than the vehicle is tuned for
- Fuel starvation caused by low fuel level, mechanical and/or electrical fault in the fuel system, and/or clogged fuel filter
- Abusive use, including but not limited to, repeatedly riding the rev limiter, excessive burn outs/donuts, repeated "hot-lapping" with out sufficient cool down, excessive load
- Use of non-Weistec ECU and/or TCU calibrations
- Removing or defacing the original Weistec serial number.
2. Warranty on Weistec Built Engines and Transmissions
60 Day Weistec Limited Warranty. Valid 60 days from shipping date with valid registration.
Due to the nature of their intended purpose and use, Weistec Built Engines and Transmissions(Including Build Packages) carry a different warranty than our other products
The following exclusions apply to all Weistec Limited Warranties.
Weistec's limited warranties do not cover any of the following damages or items:
- Damages to and/or failure of any non-Weistec component or equipment on a vehicle including, but not limited to, the engine, electrical system, transmission and differentials
- Damage caused by “Acts of God”, normal wear and tear, or damage to a vehicle or engine caused by, tuning by others, low quality fuel, collision and/or electrical component failure
- Any costs incurred for towing or downtime of the vehicle
- Any rental vehicle costs
- Any labor costs to diagnose problems or to remove or replace the Weistec products; or any damage caused by the use of another company’s product
- Any shipping costs
- Any builds not performed by Weistec Engineering
The following non-Weistec occurrences, uses, and modifications are considered misuse of the Weistec Built Engines and Transmissions and will invalidate all Weistec warranties:
- Failure to submit Warranty Registration form and all required documentation listed in the Warranty Registration form within 10 days of receiving the Weistec Built Engine and/or Transmission
- Any disassembly or attempted disassembly of the Weistec Built Engine and/or Transmission or other Weistec components.
- Damage to engine resulting from ingestion of debris
- Damage to engine resulting from failure of a non-Weistec component
- Improper installation, including failure to clear and set adaptations and/or installation by unqualified or unapproved installers
- Improper maintenance
- Improper cooling and/or fluid levels
- Over revving of the engine
- Overheating of the engine and or transmission
- Restricted or blocked crankcase or transmission case vents
- Subjecting any Weistec built engine or transmission to a “cold start-up” condition (below 25° F) without the use of an engine block heater/aftermarket engine blanket.
- Not using anti-freeze in engine cooling and intercooling systems
- Use of unapproved fluids
- Use of fuel with lower octane than the vehicle is tuned for
- Fuel Starvation caused by low fuel level, mechanical and/or electrical fault in the fuel system, and/or clogged fuel filter
- Abusive use, including but not limited to, repeatedly riding the rev limiter, excessive burn outs/donuts, repeated "hot-lapping" with out sufficient cool down
- Use of non-Weistec ECU and/or TCU calibrations
- Removing or defacing the original Weistec serial number.
Warranty claim procedures.
If a Weistec product is within the warranty period and you wish to make a claim, please follow the following procedure:
1. Email Weistec at tech@weistec.com Include the following information:
- Weistec Serial Number (if applicable).
- Copy of original invoice on which the product was purchased (must be dated and show retail store name).
- Year, make, model, vehicle mileage and engine specifications of the vehicle.
- Number of miles on the Weistec product.
- Description of the problem.
2. Weistec will then offer suggestions to help you in troubleshooting or will issue a return authorization (R.A.) number to return the product for warranty evaluation.
3. If you have been issued an R.A. number, you must "safely package" each product, which means you must plug or seal all oil and air openings, place the properly plugged and sealed product(s) within a shipping box strong enough to hold the weight of the product(s) and to maintain its shape during shipping with adequate packaging material so that the product(s) will not hit other product(s), component(s), or the side of the box during shipping. You may want to use a professional shipping company. Clearly mark the R.A. number in large (approximately 2") alphanumeric characters in two locations on the outside of the box with a bold marker.
4. Include in the shipping box the following items:
- Serial number of the supercharger (if applicable).
- Copy of original invoice on which the product was purchased (must be dated and show distributor name).
- Year, make, model, vehicle mileage, and engine specifications of the vehicle.
- Number of miles on the Weistec product.
- Description of the problem you observed.
- Return authorization number (R.A.).
- Address to which the product is to be shipped after inspection.
5. Issuance of an RA does not mean that the Weistec product will be covered by one or more of the Weistec limited warranties. If the Weistec product is not covered by warranty, then you will be charged; and you agree to pay, the minimum inspection charge plus any charges of repair or replacement authorized by you orally or in writing.
6. Ship the properly packaged and marked box via United Parcel Service (800) 742-5877, www.ups.com, or other carrier, prepaid and insured for the retail value of the product being returned to:

If a Weistec limited warranty applies, your product will be repaired or replaced at Weistec's option and you will be supplied with an invoice for freight prepaid (excluding any international taxes, tariffs, customs and/or duties which must be paid by you). If a Weistec limited warranty does not apply, we will advise you of the reason for denial and explain the costs involved in repair or replacement of the Weistec product. After relaying this information Weistec will, at your option, either proceed with the repairs as quoted or return the Weistec product(s) in the condition it/they are in at the time of inspection of the warranty evaluation by Weistec. If the warranty does not apply and you do not want Weistec to repair or replace the Weistec product, you will still be charged a disassembly and inspection charge for the product and the product will be returned UPS COD, insured for the new retail replacement value. This means you must pay any disassembly and/or inspection charges, return shipping, and insurance charges to UPS before the Weistec product will be returned. The minimum charge for product inspection is(but not limited to) $50. Weistec Limited Warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser.
